“Blackburn with Darwen commissioned the "Provider Innovation and Accelerator" Programme from Voice in March 2010. The programme over 9 sessions was designed to assist our local providers to align their organisations to a position where they would be able to support customers to have better choices and more control over how they live their lives. The programme has had very positive "knock-on" effects to how we are approaching our ongoing work with local providers.

We are now following a similar approach across a number of initiatives through encouraging providers to work together to design positive approaches to personalisation, for example in the development of a Community Based Support Brokerage Network and a Personal Assistant Provider Network.“
